What a mini session looks like
Mini sessions are 10 to 15 minutes long, fully guided, and designed to feel simple from the moment you arrive. You do not need to know how to pose your kids or direct expressions. That is my job.
Every mini session includes 5 professionally edited images delivered through your personal online gallery. If you fall in love with more than five, you will have the option to add images from your gallery.
Sessions take place in my Iola studio or outdoors, depending on the theme. Location is always noted when dates are announced, so you know exactly what to expect before you book.

I have been photographing kids and families across Southeast Kansas and all over the country for more than 30 years. I know how to work with wiggly toddlers, shy preschoolers, and the kid who said he definitely did not want to be there. Give me 10 minutes, and I will get you something you love.
Every mini session is guided from start to finish. You do not have to manage your kids and worry about how the photos are turning out at the same time. That is what I am here for.

Mini session questions
How long are mini sessions?
Most mini sessions are 10 to 15 minutes. That is intentional. Shorter sessions keep energy high, especially for little ones, and the images almost always turn out better for it.
How many images are included?
Every mini session includes 5 professionally edited images. You will have the option to purchase additional images from your gallery after your session.
Where do mini sessions take place?
It depends on the theme. Studio sessions take place in my private studio in Iola. Outdoor sessions are held at a location specific to that event. Location details are always included when dates are announced.
Are mini sessions good for toddlers and little kids?
Yes, they are actually ideal for them. Short, fast, and fun. Little ones tend to do their best in a quick burst of energy rather than a long session. I know how to work with kids of all ages and temperaments, and I will get you something beautiful even if yours is having a big feelings kind of day.
Can grandparents be included?
For some session types, yes. If you want grandparent portraits included, reach out before booking, and I will point you to the best option.
