The Beauty Loft is a confidence-building experience. Inside my private studio in Iola, Kansas, I create beauty and glam portraits for women across Southeast Kansas in a space that feels calm, unhurried, and completely welcoming.


You do not need to know how to pose.

You do not need to feel ready.

You do not need to look a certain way.


You just need to show up. I will guide you through everything else.

The Questionnaire

Before we ever meet, I learn about you. Your style, your personality, your favorite drink, and snack. The little things that make this feel like it was made for you, because it was.

STEP 02

The Planning Session

We will talk through your vision, your wardrobe, and the overall look and feel you want. You come in knowing exactly what to expect. No guessing. No stress.

STEP 03

Session Day Preparation

 

Every outfit is planned for every setup before you arrive. Nothing is left to chance. You walk in, and we get to work.

 

STEP 04

The Guided Session

 

I will show you every pose before you try it. Then I will let the natural, real version of you come through. You will not be stiff. You will not feel awkward. Most women are surprised by how easy it actually feels.

STEP 05

Post-Session Editing

I take time with your images. Careful, intentional editing that is flattering and true to who you are.

STEP 06

The Reveal & Ordering Appointment

 

You will see your images and choose the artwork or collection that best fits your life. I will walk you through every option. No pressure, just guidance.

The Pickup Surprise

 

When your products are ready, I display them in the studio so you can see everything together for the very first time. It is one of my favorite moments in the whole process.

It is a space designed to feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. Beautiful light. Simple, intentional styling. Complete privacy to relax and be yourself.

Hi, I am April,


The photographer behind
April Kroenke Photography & The Beauty Loft.

I have been photographing women in Iola and across the US and Europe for more than 30 years. I am Southeast Kansas's only Certified Master Photographer & Photographic Craftsman, a credential held by fewer than two percent of photographers in the country.


But what matters most to me is not the credentials. It is how you feel as we create your images together.


If you have ever said, "I am awkward in photos," "I would not even know how to pose," or "Maybe someday," you are exactly the kind of woman I love working with. I will take care of everything. You just show up.

Do I need to know how to pose?

Not at all. Every Beauty Loft session is fully guided. I will walk you through every pose, expression, and movement step by step. Most women are surprised by how natural it feels.

What should I wear?

We will plan your wardrobe together before your session so everything feels flattering, comfortable, and true to your style. You do not have to figure this out on your own.

Is professional hair and makeup available?

Yes. Professional hair and makeup is available as an add-on to your Beauty Loft session and adds a beautiful layer to the experience.

Where is your studio?

The Beauty Loft is located in Iola, Kansas, and serves women across Southeast Kansas, including Chanute, Parsons, Garnett, Fort Scott, and surrounding communities.

What if I am nervous?
